Immigration to Estonia

We get many requests to help with immigration to Estonia. It is helpful to know the general options for that beforehand. Every basis has many nuances and that is when we come in - but having done some basic research beforehand can go a long way.

1. Employment

This is the most common basis. There are differences depending on whether it is employment in a start-up or not, whether it is a high-skilled employment or not etc.

2. Business/investment

Here it could be a start-up business or business based on investment into the Estonian economy.

3. Studying

Perhaps one of the easiest ways and could be a gateway to employment after the studies.

There are many other more uncommon options but these would be the 3 main ones for a residence permit. When the main applicant has a basis, their family members can usually also apply on the same terms and conditions.

Another option is a visa which is issued for up to 1 year - for a visa also the same basis would be most commonly applicable - work, business or studies.
